WELCOME TO THE ENCOURAGING WORD - HOME OF THE RUDOWSKE LBT MINISTRY

Other recent updates: We have recently added a 'Contact Us' page with info how to best reach us. We also have added a 'Partners with Us!' page with info about how to partner with us in missions by service, prayer, and/or giving.

Other features of the site are 'Newsletters' where we post all of our prayer letters. There is a module there to forward a pdf of the letter to anyone you think would be interested. The 'Blog' page has at least a weekly entry letting you know what's going on with us and other random stuff, reflections, devotional thoughts, stories etc. Also we welcome you to sign the guestbook when you visit. We are Rich and Maya Rudowske, missionaries with Lutheran Bible Translators and Christians who want to be used by God in whatever way He chooses. We are a team along with our children in serving wherever God places us. Prior to missionary service, Rich was a pastor in Dayton Ohio, and, before that, a financial analyst in Ann Arbor Michigan. Maya is the household manager and partner in every mission endeavour.

We work in the ministry of Bible translation - helping bring people to faith in Jesus Christ by making the word of God available in the language that speaks to their heart. It is a ministry of passion for the word of God and precision in linguistic analysis.

We finished our prefield linguistics training at the end of June along with Primary Healthcare courses for Maya. We are assigned to partnership development now until June 2009. See the 'Partner with Us' tab for more information.

We are considering an assignment in southern Africa in one of the language groups that LBT is working with there. LBT has projects in Namibia and Botswana. For where we are currently, check the 'Speaking Tour' tab.

The Lord has uniquely gifted us both as a couple and as a family to go and help people from the indigenous churches in Africa develop scriptures in their heart languages so that sustainable Christian thought, community, and life is available to them.
