How often do you update your blog?  Weakly.  Get it?  HA!  Man, ten days sure did fly by fast.  Maya and I are well underway in our classes, she learning Swahili in second language and cultural acquisition and I exploring the Cognitive recesses of the human mind as it corresponds to language in Culture Language and Mind and Discourse Analysis.  I am also in a once a week cross culture teaching seminar that I am actually teaching this coming Monday. 

I was officially welcomed into ministry as a pastoral assistant at Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Prairie TX this past Sunday.  I am volunteering as pastoral assistant to help the Pastor who is doing a lot in the circuit with vacancies etc.  I get to preach and teach and assist in leading worship occasionally as he needs while we're still down here in Dallas thru the end of June.

I am swamped in course work at the moment so I'm going to get back to it.  Blessings on your weekend and if you are unfortunate enough to be in the north right now, stay safe in that weather!
